Obscenely Creative

Festhalle, Frankfurt – 6 November 2025

After four shows in the Meine Welt Tour, Till Lindemann band returned to Germany for three consecutive concerts in the vocalist’s birth country. Their first stop was Frankfurt, where they brought their show to Festhalle. Guest contributors laragmsl and Lorenz Fortner give their impressions.

Entrance:
The entrance was the South Entrance of the Festhalle in Frankfurt. Getting in was pleasant and well-organized. However, it wasn’t ideal that inside the Festhalle there was initially only one entrance to the inner area, even though two were planned before entering the inner circle. Because of that, it got a bit crowded there. Otherwise, the main entrance itself was large and equipped with several doors.

Place:
I had a standing ticket and was relatively close to the front, near the very first barrier, which gave me quite a good view from the right side. Especially since parts of the stage setup were elevated — for example, when Joe Letz was lifted up — there was always something to see from my position.

Opener:
I had already seen Aesthetic Perfection in Leipzig, and I felt that they managed to fire up the crowd a bit more there — though the audience at this concert was generally rather calm. Aesthetic Perfection themselves had a great sound, as always, with a strong bass and lots of energy. They definitely gave their best on stage.

Band:
Personally, I think the band seemed even more in sync compared to Leipzig last week. They once again showed that they were fully present and eager to perform — overall, it was a really solid interplay. Till Lindemann, as always, put on his show, kicking and throwing microphones left and right. Everyone seemed genuinely excited to be up there doing their job, and despite a few small lyric changes from Till — as we’ve come to expect from him — the band delivered a flawless performance.

Music:
What can I say? Personally, I was, of course, at the concert because I genuinely love the music. I really appreciate that each song is performed in its own unique way, each with its own energy. It was also great to see the variety of video clips shown on the screen — including some new ones compared to the 2023 tour. And musically, it was wonderful that songs from all three (or four, if you count Zunge 2025) albums were included, meaning that fans from every Lindemann era got something special.

Favorite moment:
Of course, apart from the individual highlight actions — like throwing fish during Fish On, tossing cakes during Allesfresser, or „balling“ through the crowd during Platz Eins — my personal favorite moment was when I was standing in the crowd and Till passed right by me in his bubble during Platz Eins. He looked at me and bumped the bubble. I found that really funny — a perfect example of Till’s typical humor.

Total experience:
I can personally compare the 2023 tour, the 2025 festival tour, and now the Meine Welt tour — and for me, this is by far the best one yet. The shows are creative and full of great ideas, with new videos and visuals. Of course, it’s easy to understand why the concert is rated 18+, but it also clearly shows how much the band contributes their own personality — especially Till, with his lyrics and humor, where he once again allows himself to be freely and, yes, obscenely creative. It’s really one of those experiences, much like a Rammstein concert, that you simply have to witness in person to truly understand.

Guest reporter Lorenz Fortner also made some observations in Frankfurt:

– The entrance was a little rough, as they sectioned off the front of stage area and everyone got a wristband before entering. Though the crowd was in a good mood.
Noizith from Aesthetic Perfection had new color of helmet, now white. She had some technical issues during the gig, Lore Jarocinski had to change her guitars by herself, but they had a really good stage performance with a lot of interacting.
– The Fish On performance was the same as in London. Joey put on the horse mask before Übers Meer, so the break between Knebel and the fish birthing was shorter.
Jens Koch has a banana right next to the big sound boxes. Till stole his camera again.
– Till hit fewer microphones than at prior shows.
– Till did not pass by the front row during Platz eins, as the disco ball’s trip through the crowd took too long.
– During Ich hasse Kinder, Diego (friend of the band of short stature) put on a child mask and wig and walked on stage.
– The band seemed well into the setting and had fun.
