Messe Dresden – 10 November 2025

After a disastrous entrance, the initial challenges turned into organised chaos when Till Lindemann band went on stage to deliver a sometimes breathtaking show. Guest contributors C. from @wasichliebe and guest photographer Lorenz Fortner report from Dresden.

Entrance:
Unfortunately, the entrance was disastrous. At first, I was still hopeful that everything would work out fine. But there was a large barrier in front of the gates, through which several cars still had to drive onto the area during the day. I wondered how the security guards would manage to guide the crowds of people safely and orderly to the gates. But I tried not to think about it and instead chatted with my friends, deciding that I would deal with this problem early enough…
Two hours before the regular admission, it seemed as if no more cars needed to enter the grounds. However, two or three fans had the idea of breaking through the queue and standing at the barrier, causing panic among the others. Thanks for that…
So it came to the point where we had to wait like sardines in front of the barrier for the last two hours before entry. Squeezed together and frightened. At some point, the barrier went up and everyone ran towards the gates. While people’s tickets were being scanned and everyone was running in on the right side, on the left side, admission didn’t move on. The security guards let people in too early, which is why everything was stopped. So some were quite lucky and were able to secure a place in the front row, while the others had to wait outside in the cold to be let in…
Place/seat and view:
As I said, the entrance didn’t go particularly well for me and many others, but thanks to a really dear friend, I was still able to get a good spot. Thank you so much!
Opener:
I’ve seen Aesthetic Perfection several times now, and I’m afraid I have to say that they don’t really grab me on this tour. I can’t explain it. Because I actually really like the band. What I have to emphasise as really positive is that the audience gave AP a very warm welcome and applauded them a lot – I thought that was really great!
Band:
This was the second time I’ve seen the new line-up and I have to say – I really like it! I think they harmonise really well – it’s perfectly organised chaos which I love!
Music:
To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes for a set list that I would really like. But I have to say that I actually enjoy it quite a lot. Fat as the opener wasn’t my first choice though.
Favorite moment:
This year’s tour production is simply breathtaking and I particularly love the laser show during Tanzlehrerin. It looks so incredibly beautiful when the laser beam is interrupted by the dancing bodies…
Total experience:
As always, it was a really great concert! Till Lindemann was in a great mood, the atmosphere in the audience was fantastic and I had a lot of fun with my friends. Now I’m looking forward to the show in Zagreb even more!

The Dresden show will also be remembered as the show where Till Lindemann changed the lyrics during Sport frei. Instead of Ein Instrument wäre gut gewesen [An instrument would have been good], he sang Ein dicker Schwanz der gut gewesen [A thick dick that has been good] – to the amusement of the German speaking crowd.
